Hydrotherapy is a form of treatment or exercise instructed by a Aquatic Physiotherapist or qualified Instructor, conducted in a heated pool.
The Australian Physiotherapy Association and the NSW Department of Health both recommend the water temperature range of 33 degrees to aid in muscle relaxation to achieve greater results in aquatic Physiotherapy. Our Hydrotherapy Centre has been specially designed with a stair and ramp and hoist access to allow the disabled and frail a safe entry into and out of the water. The pool depth ranges between O.9m and 1.2m and is equipped with railings to assist with stability and additional exercises. The depth also allows non- swimmers the chance to participate.
Our programs are a good alternative for those having difficulty walking or wanting variety. We include a wide range of equipment including flotation devices and water weights. We offer a range of classes for both men and women of all ages and in addition, Special Programs can also be catered for -e.g. for Neurological conditions.
