Dr Emil Farag graduated from medicine in 1968 at Alexander University in Egypt. He also received his Diploma in Surgery in 1980 at Alexander University.

For the next twenty years, Dr E. Farag dedicated his life to surgical patients and his final years to the people of The Catholic Mission Hospital in Africa. Through his work and surgical techniques he published a research paper on Peritinitis at The International Conference of Surgery in the Tropics in 1986 at Bombay.

In 1997 Dr Emil Farag finalised his Australian Medical Council exam.

Presently Dr Farag is a retired general surgeon and works as the Career Medical Officer in various hospitals in Sydney. At Minchinbury Community Hospital Dr Farag has been our CMO since 2004 and works in our Rehab Unit in conjunction with Dr Chu on a daily bases.
