The aim of the rehabilitation unit is to improve function abilities for patients, so that they can maintain or improve their quality of life.

What we Cater For

Our rehabilitation unit is designed to cater for:

• Neurological Conditions
• Orthopaedic conditions
• Musculo-skeletal problems
• Poor mobility or problems with frequent falls

Facilities

Our rehabilitation unit consists of:

• Large and well equipped physiotherapy gymnasium
• Occupational therapy assessment area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom
• Interview and therapy room for psychologist and speech therapist
• Variety of outside surfaces and gradients for mobility work
• Private rooms and ensuites are available
• Garden area to sit and relax

Our Programs

Each patient is assessed by our rehabilitation specialists and therapists and an individual programme is designed. Weekly team meetings are part of the programme where progress reports and future plans are discussed. Families are invited to attend a family conference, to ensure an easy return to home. Your local doctor is invited to continue with your care whilst in hospital in conjunction with the rehabilitation consultant.
President Private Hospital’s Rehabilitation Unit is accredited with the major health funds. We are also accredited with Work Cover, Veteran Affairs and Third Party (prior approval needed).
