Dr Kannangara’s extensive experience in rheumatology and sports medicine led to his appointment as Director of the NSW Institute of Sports Medicine and Senior Medical Consultant to F.I.F.A (Soccer), the largest sporting body in the world. Dr Kannangara was also a medical consultant at the Barcelona and Atlanta Olympic Games.
