Eastern Suburbs Private Hospital specialises in Inpatient & Outpatient Rehabilitation Programs, as well as providing Cosmetics and General Surgery. The Hospital is located in the heart of Randwick and is easily accessible by public transport. It has easy parking and is ten minutes from the Sydney CBD.
The Outpatient Day Rehabilitation Program
We will collect patients who have no transport of their own, for the Day Rehab Program if they live within a 5 km radius.
Inpatient Rehabilitation and Medical Care
We offer Medical care as well as post operative rehabilitation & post medical event rehabilitation. Patients are cared for by our team of experienced staff which includes Rehab Specialist Doctors and Rehab Registrar, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists & Social Worker. Medical patients can be managed by the patient’s own GP, & Rehab patients program is managed by the Rehab specialist. Also, our Dietician, Clinical Psychologist and Speech Pathologist are fully available when required. We work towards implementing a safe and appropriate discharge for our patients, and our team works with the patient, family/carer, GP & Community Services to facilitate this.

The aim of the Rehabilitation Unit is to improve the quality of life for patients, enabling them to achieve a level of independence and safety in carrying out most day to day tasks.
Facilities
The inpatient Cottage is a gracious Victorian home adapted to a rehabilitation setting. Patients attend the Cottage gymnasium undertaking various therapies in order to maximise the results of their rehabilitation program.
The Rehabilitation Unit is comprised of 22 beds. Shared rooms or private rooms with ensuites are available. There is a communal dining and TV room and a sunny garden area to sit and relax.
Our Inpatient & Outpatient Rehabilitation Therapy Areas consist of:
- Large and well equipped physiotherapy gymnasiums.
- Occupational therapy assessment area and kitchens.
- Interview and therapy rooms for social worker, psychologist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist and Rehabilitation Specialist Doctors.
Our Programs
Each patient is assessed by our rehabilitation specialists and therapists, and an individual program is designed.
Weekly team meetings are part of the program where progress is reported and future plans are discussed. If required Families are invited to attend a family conference, to ensure a successful return to home.
Eastern Suburbs Private Hospital is accredited with the major health funds for rehabilitation. This means that all ancillary services are included under your private hospital cover.
We are also accredited with Veterans’ Affairs, WorkCover and Third Party Insurers (prior approval is needed).

Medications
Please do not bring any valuables (including jewellery) into the hospital, as we cannot be responsible for the safety of these items.
We cater for Neurological conditions such as:

- Parkinson’s Disease
We cater for Orthopaedic conditions such as:
- Fractures
- Joint replacements
- Back surgery
Reconditioning for:
- Respiratory disorders
- Post major surgery
- Post medical or cardiac event
We also offer day only therapy for all of the above conditions.
